LOST
Ellie
Name: Ellie
Breed & Species: African Grey Parrot bird
Colour: Grey
SimpleColour:
Went missing: 8 years ago
(02 July 2017 at around 6:00 PMhrs)
Location: Burbage SN8 3BW, United Kingdom
Health: Healthy
Age: 16 years old (approx)
Sex: Spayed Female
Collar: No
Microchipped: Not sure
Markings: She has a small scrape on her beak (her left) and feathers are a bit scruffy! Ring ID on right leg I think
Circumstances: She answers to Ellie and got frightened on the evening of 2nd July when I was transferring her from her garden cage to the house one. She has got loose once before and was found very near our house. We run a stables so she has lots of outside area on our property where she can hide so I searched until midnight and again from 4am the following morning and located her in a tree on our gallops. I stayed with her all day as advised (she was about 20ft high) hoping she would tire and recall but she got spooked at around 6pm and flew towards our gallops. I looked until 10pm and I was hoping I might see her again but no luck. She has a ring but as I am still getting her well handled I have not actually been able to read the number but I will ask the lady who I rescued her from if she has a note. She was not mistreated just not loved or interacted with much but now she is very bonded with me so I am calling and calling her usual words and things we say to each other which worked last time but this time I feel she has flown further, and she has never been out all night. She can be aggressive to strangers so if anyone calls for advice please ask them to observe her and contact me asap and I will come out immediately. I have posted on our village page on Facebook and will post to other local pages. She has a small scrape on her beak (her left) and feathers are a bit scruffy!
